About Ace Pet Care

My whole life I’ve adored and been involved with animals. As a child I had fish and a hamster, and a Borzoi and a Beagle. As a teenager I was mommy to a

German Shepherd, Saluki, Chihuahua mix, and 6 cats. As an adult I have been mother to Newfoundlands, a Leonberger, a Flat-coated Retriever, Scottish Terrier mix, Rag Doll cats, and American Shorthair cats. The current love of my life is Bauer, my three-year old Hovawart.

 

I’ve always wanted to be a veterinarian, but life took a little twist and instead I owned an accounting and tax practice. The clients tended to be veterinary

practices and other animal-related fields. My Newfoundlands, Leonberger, and the Flat-coat all acted as receptionists during their lives. During this time I was active with the Newfoundland Club of America,

Newfoundland Rescue, and the Leonberger Club of America. The dogs and I were also fixtures every weekend at the dog park. We have been through

obedience training and the Newfoundlands, Leonberger and Flat-coat all earned their CGC.

 

Because of my love for animals, neighbors and friends have always relied upon me to take care of their pets when they were on vacation. I am also the person people come to with questions about puppy issues, for solutions to pet behavior problems, or just general advice.

 

When I decided to move to Austin, I also decided that it was time I returned to my first love — which is caring for animals.

 

I am insured, bonded, and am currently working on becoming  Pet 1st Aid/CPR certified and an Accredited Pet Sitter with PSI.
